Who This 11+ Course Is For

This programme is designed for motivated Year 4 and Year 5 pupils preparing for competitive 11+ entrance exams to selective London independent schools and top grammar schools. It is ideal for families who:

  • want a clear, term-by-term plan rather than last-minute cramming
  • are aiming for highly competitive schools and possible scholarship routes
  • value small groups, expert teachers and honest, individual feedback

This is not a general catch-up class; it is a rigorous, fast-paced 11+ preparation course for families who expect high standards and are committed to the full journey.

How the Sunday 11+ Programme Works

Pupils are grouped, where possible, according to target schools and current attainment, so that teaching is aligned with the level and style of questions they are likely to face. Grouping is not a label of ability; we may move pupils between groups during the term to ensure they are appropriately challenged and well supported.

Each Sunday, every pupil receives a carefully structured booklet covering the week’s work:

  • Approximately 1 hour of English
  • Approximately 1 hour of Maths
  • Approximately 45 minutes of Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning

Teachers guide pupils through the booklet in class, modelling strategies, reviewing answers and providing
real-time feedback and corrections. At the end of each session, pupils take home their workbook
and answer sheets. Because the booklet contains more material than can be completed in the lesson,
pupils are encouraged to finish the remaining questions at home, with parents using the mark scheme to
support consolidation and revision.

What’s Included in the 11+ Sunday Preparation Programme

  • Half-termly 1:1 progress meetings with your child’s teacher to review strengths, next
    steps, and realistic school choices.
  • 11+ mock exams in English and Maths, benchmarked against a wider cohort for
meaningful comparison and to replicate real exam conditions.
  • Additional resources and guidance for parents, including advice on timelines, exam
formats and school selection, so you always know what is coming next.
  • Regular interview practice embedded into weekly sessions, plus seasonal interview
booklets and “top tips” for pupils and parents.
  • 15% premium customer discount on all holiday workshops.

FAQs

Do children need to attend all terms?

Attendance across multiple terms is not compulsory, but children who start earlier (typically in Year 4 or early Year 5) tend to make more consistent progress. We get to know them well, can track their development over time and support them throughout the whole 11+ journey.

What is your success rate?

We work with a wide range of pupils and do not operate a selective entry system for this course. Instead, we provide clear, individual feedback on readiness and school fit, and use our structured approach and careful monitoring to guide families towards appropriate, aspirational options. Final outcomes will always depend on performance on the day, but our aim is that every child arrives at their exams feeling well prepared, confident and resilient.

Do I need to pay for the full term?

Yes. Our teachers and venues are booked for the full term, so fees are charged on a termly basis ratherthan per session.

Can my child attend a trial session?

No. Places on the 11+ Sunday programme are limited and usually fill completely, so we are unable to offer trial sessions.
